How treatment works
Upper lip hair varies a lot. Dark hair responds well to laser. Light, fine hair often does not, and for that we use The Smooth System instead. Irina will tell you honestly at your consultation which one suits you.
Facial hair grows faster than body hair, so face sessions are closer together, usually every 4 weeks.

Courses: pay for 5 sessions and the 6th is free, or pay for 6 and get 2 more free. Prices are per area and come straight from our booking system.
Plan for 6 to 8 sessions about 4 weeks apart. Facial hair linked to hormones, including PCOS, often needs more sessions and occasional maintenance.

Before and after your session
Before
- Shave the area the day before. Do not wax, pluck, thread or use epilators for 4 to 6 weeks beforehand, because the laser needs the hair root in place.
- Avoid sunbathing, sunbeds and fake tan for 2 weeks before. Tell us if you have a holiday booked.
- Come with clean skin: no deodorant, creams or make-up on the area.
After
- Mild redness or warmth usually settles within a few hours.
- For 24 to 48 hours skip hot baths, saunas, steam rooms and hard workouts.
- Use SPF 30 or higher on exposed areas and keep shaving between sessions, never waxing.
- Treated hairs shed over 1 to 3 weeks. This is normal, not regrowth.

Questions clients ask
Will laser work on light upper lip hair?
Laser needs pigment to target. If your hair is light or very fine, The Smooth System is the better option, and we will say so at the consultation.
Can I wear make-up afterwards?
Wait until the next day if you can. Mineral make-up is fine sooner if the skin is calm.
Why does facial hair need more maintenance?
Facial hair is strongly influenced by hormones. Laser reduces what is there now, but new hairs can be activated over time, so a top-up every few months is common.
