How treatment works
Facial hair in women is common and often linked to hormones, including PCOS and menopause. Laser reduces the hair you have now and makes it finer and slower to grow back.
Face sessions are short and spaced about 4 weeks apart. Irina adjusts the settings for each area, because the skin on the chin, lip and cheeks is not the same.

Laser works on hair that has pigment. Grey, white, red and very fine blonde hair usually does not respond; for those we offer The Smooth System.

Courses: pay for 5 sessions and the 6th is free, or pay for 6 and get 2 more free. Prices are per area and come straight from our booking system.
Usually 6 to 8 sessions about 4 weeks apart, then a top-up every few months for hormonal hair. Results vary from person to person.

Before and after your session
Before
- Shave the area the day before. Do not wax, pluck, thread or use epilators for 4 to 6 weeks beforehand, because the laser needs the hair root in place.
- Avoid sunbathing, sunbeds and fake tan for 2 weeks before. Tell us if you have a holiday booked.
- Come with clean skin: no deodorant, creams or make-up on the area.
After
- Mild redness or warmth usually settles within a few hours.
- For 24 to 48 hours skip hot baths, saunas, steam rooms and hard workouts.
- Use SPF 30 or higher on exposed areas and keep shaving between sessions, never waxing.
- Treated hairs shed over 1 to 3 weeks. This is normal, not regrowth.

Questions clients ask
Can laser make facial hair worse?
Very rarely, laser can stimulate fine hair at the edge of a treated area. It is uncommon, and Irina chooses settings to reduce the risk. Light, fine hair is better treated with The Smooth System.
Can you treat near the eyes?
Laser is not used inside the eye area, so eyebrows are not treated. You and Irina both wear protective eyewear throughout every session.
I have PCOS. Will it work?
Yes, laser is widely used for PCOS-related hair. Expect more sessions than average and regular maintenance, because the hormones that drive growth are still there.
How soon can I go back to work?
Straight away. Some redness is normal for a few hours.
